You've Reached The Summit … So Why Doesn't The View Feel Like You Expected It To?
You have an incredible track record and reputation. People describe you as capable and reliable. You've worked hard for years to build credentials and a strong career.
You got so good at holding it all together that you lost track of what was underneath. The self-help world has a script for burnout and failure but nothing describes this erosion.
So why does none of it land the way it should?
01
Work that once felt meaningful now turns mechanical
02
You feel a growing sense of becoming a passenger in your own life
03
You find resentment growing even though you're doing well by every fair measure
This book is for the moment you stop explaining all these signs away and start looking underneath the output.
This Book Is For The Leaders Who Became Reliable At Their Own Expense

You are competent and accomplished but neither promotions nor holidays fix the tiredness underneath.
You feel your decisions getting heavier because they accommodate everyone else's comfort over your own knowledge.
You are the reliable one and the cost of being called that has been building up for years.
You have already read the books, frameworks and applied the strategies, and you still find yourself back in the same place.
Find Your Way Back To Who You Are Underneath All The Performance
For most of my leadership life, I was perfectly aligned to everyone in the room and completely lost to myself at the same time.
If that sounds familiar, you already know that the answer is not in the next qualification, the next role or next achievement.
The Feisty Human is the result of decades spent bridging the gap, working with leaders who had achieved everything they were supposed to and still felt internally misaligned.
This book is written as a series of recipes, each chapter gives you the method, ingredients and cooking instructions to begin applying them immediately. It helps you find exactly where you are before you take another step, and then gives you the exact recipe you need to close the gap between performance and self.

“Your worth is not something you earn. If you are living and breathing, your worth is already yours. It does not require production. It does not require confirmation. Knowing that, really knowing it, is a different story.
That is the story we are here for.”
AMBER MCMILLAN, THE FEISTY HUMAN
Meet Amber McMillan
I'm Amber McMillan, aka The Feisty PM.
I work at the intersection of leadership, emotional intelligence, identity, and human behavior. With more than 30 years of experience and a signature blend of grit and grace, I work as an impact coach, executive educator and thought leader for senior leaders and capable professionals navigating complex change.
Before all of that, I started my career as a pastry chef and later ran my own cooking school. What I learned in those kitchens is that the outcome always depends on what you bring to it. That is why this book is written as a sequence of recipes with clear instructions on what is required from you and the exact steps needed to cook up your desired outcome.
